Looking Up To Higher Ground For Profound Inspiration
Many babies are in the newborn intensive care units of hospitals (NIC). I was in one of those places this week. When I see babies with very little hope of going home, sleeping in their own beds and playing in their yard looking for Easter eggs, I am saddened but I know they will be loved forever here and in the promised heaven.
There are babies who survive and live vital abundant progressive lives. When we see babies we offer wishes and hopes for them. We have very little control over their serious health situations.
Parents have dreams for their children; often they are not recognized in reality. Children should live care-free, happy, wondrous, curious lives.
My prayer today is that those parents sitting in the hospitals look higher for strength, inspiration and hope. We have a compassionate God but he does know best.
Crying out to God is not wrong. He is in control. More importantly, trusting and accepting his choices – is key to a life of wisdom and purpose.
When in despair – give away your doubts and heartache. Leave your fears behind. Look up for higher inspiration. Trust is essential in every situation. When our prayers are not answered the way we expect, it doesn’t mean God does not love us. It means we preferred another outcome. He sees the big picture – we do not. We cannot know what tragedies and sorrow people are delivered from in the future. We do not know why things happen. We accept that God’s will be done and love will prevail. Live on higher ground.
The plaque in the picture (JOY) hangs on my deck and is absolute truth when we have absolute faith. I’m learning that more each day. Be brave – believe it.
