Nourish Body Mind and Spirit

Nourish Body Mind and Spirit

Hi! It is Jan here – to encourage you today. I might surprise you when I say we can nourish ourselves.

So often we nourish our bodies with the food and drink and things we love. We nourish our skin and try to stay youthful. Remember that encouragement and support from others brings a new perspective that we may have not seen.

There are people in this world who need constant encouragement and adoration, you most likely know some of them. Some people do not know how to nourish themselves for inner confidence. They lack a spirit of  well-being and do not know peace daily a part of their lives. The only thing they can understand is when people pay them compliments (and those are beautiful and wonderful). We need to be moving forward strongly into the day ahead,  but often that day might be a struggle for us.

We need to nourish ourselves. We can do that by being self-affirming and saying good things to ourselves about what we have accomplished and about what we are going to accomplish. What are your goals? What have you persevered at in life? Who have you been kind to when you do not feel like being kind? These questions remind us to grow even more. We were not made to be flailing about in the wind with no goals, no thought or encouragement.

The sweetness that is inside us is what people see and we do not even realize always what they see through our lives. The profound wisdom we have comes from the trials and walks we have made. You can nourish yourself just like a garden. You see beautiful green plants and you know you should have great big ears of beautiful sweet corn on the stocks but they did not get nourished, did not get rain, fertilized or fed.  There is nothing there; the cob is empty or almost empty.  If you are not nourished and you do not know how to nourish yourself, take wise words from wise people you admire and think of them. It can be a phrase of nine or ten words that can change your life.

I respond to people when someone says, “You made my day!” and you and I often do not realize what we said that made that difference. That is the best feeling in the world; to impact a person into deeper meaningful life choices. Not only can you make their day but you can make your own day if you use your body, mind and soul together.

Think about the physical being nourished. Think about the spirit and soul being nourished. God has offered us every single day of our life, His strength. In that strength we can be nourished in our weakness; it is valuable. Nourish yourself when you need it in ways that will affirm and renew you. Regenerate and be energized.
